✨ Meet Kimberly! ✨

If you've stayed with FAA Crashpads, there's a good chance you've interacted with Kimberly Davis, our amazing Onsite Manager! 🏡❤️

Kimberly is the friendly face behind the scenes who helps make sure our students have a smooth and comfortable stay. From preparing homes for new arrivals to answering questions and helping solve problems, she's always working to make FAA Crashpads feel like a home away from home.

Originally from the Chicago area and southern Indiana, Kimberly has called Oklahoma home for the past 15 years. When she's not taking care of our students and properties, she's busy hanging out with her wonderful husband Nathan and cheering on her two teenage boys at their sports events and school activities. ⚾🏈📣

Before joining FAA Crashpads, Kimberly owned and operated a cleaning company for 10 years. Her attention to detail and commitment to excellence help ensure every student walks into a clean, welcoming space from day one. ✨

We're incredibly grateful to have Kimberly on our team and know our students appreciate everything she does behind the scenes!

Today we celebrate 250 years of freedom, opportunity, and the American spirit that has united our nation since 1776. ❤️🤍💙

At FAA Crashpads, we're proud to support the future air traffic controllers, technicians, and aviation professionals who help keep our skies safe every day. ✈️🗼 Many of our residents have also served in the military 🇺🇸 or other public service roles, continuing a tradition of service to our country.

✈️ 5 Things I Wish I Knew Before Arriving at the FAA Academy

1️⃣ The Academy becomes your full-time job...and then some.
Most students spend several hours in class and then continue studying afterward. The students who treat it like a professional commitment tend to have the best experience.

2️⃣ Your classmates will be one of your biggest resources.
Study groups aren't just encouraged—they're often one of the keys to success. Many graduates say learning with classmates helped them understand the material faster and stay motivated.

3️⃣ You don't need to become an ATC expert before you arrive.
Many successful students recommend learning the phonetic alphabet and maybe a few basics, but trying to teach yourself everything ahead of time can actually make things harder. The Academy wants to teach concepts their way.

4️⃣ Having a comfortable place to live matters more than you think.
After a long day of class and studying, having a private room, reliable internet, and a quiet place to focus can make a huge difference.

5️⃣ Everyone feels overwhelmed at first.
Almost every successful graduate says there were moments when they felt behind or questioned whether they could make it. That's normal. Focus on the next lesson, keep studying, and trust the process.

A huge shoutout to our amazing cleaning team led by Tara, who works tirelessly behind the scenes to keep our homes spotless, stocked, and welcoming for every guest who walks through the door. From fresh linens to sparkling kitchens, this team notices the little things that make a big difference after a long day at the Academy.

We know FAA students and trainees already have enough to focus on — coming home to a clean, comfortable space matters. 🏡
