VOLK is Nashville indie-rock duo Eleot Reich (drums, vocals) and Christopher Lowe (guitar, vocals). Their new EP, Stand the Test (out Apr. 28), delves into bluesy retro-futuristic dance punk, synthwave, new wave and nostalgia-filled roller rink bangers. Their masterfully designed video for “I Fed Animals” is a cyberpunk spectacle of stylized street fights and music performance, shot partially on location in Tokyo.

So let me tell you a story about my friend I met him when I was on tour with The Big News. We had a show in Salt Lake City. And he let us crash at his apartment with him and Alora. We stayed up and talked about music for hours. A kind soul that came out to support some strange guys from Oklahoma and took us in. Blue has always been a supporter of music and community. He lives in OKC now and has been a regular part of our music scene here for the past few years. Well, my friend has recently been diagnosed with MS and we’d like throw a party and raise some funds to help him and his family with some medical expenses. Please join us to hear some awesome music from DJ Reaper and on Saturday June 10th. Also wanted to thank Ashli for helping us organize this and presenting the idea to me.
