As OEF celebrates 50 years, we're recognizing the companies that helped build the Oklahoma Engineering Foundation. This week: Continental Oil Company, which today we know as ConocoPhillips. From its historic roots in Ponca City to its continued support of STEM education, ConocoPhillips remains an important partner for OEF. In fact, we are meeting with them this month to talk about ways to expand and strengthen our programs in Northeast Oklahoma! 50 Years of Support is no small thing. We are very grateful and will continue to work hard and be great stewards of their investment.

Continental Oil, later Conoco, helped shape Oklahoma's energy industry and continues supporting engineering education through OEF today.

Response to our OEF Youth Ambassador Board application period has been great, however, 94 percent of our applicants are from Oklahoma City, Tulsa or larger communities like Bixby, Moore and Stillwater. We'd like to see more applicants from 🌽 Rural Oklahoma. So, we are extending the application deadline to July 31 for rural students who attend Oklahoma schools in communities with populations of 5,000 or less. If this is you or a student you know (9th-12th grade) who is interested in STEM, especially math and engineering, please send them this link: https://lnkd.in/g8sfSuia
