We are thrilled to share that our Superintendent, Chris Brewster, will be awarded the prestigious 2026 Ohtli Award by the Government of Mexico and the Consulate of Mexico in Oklahoma City!

The Ohtli Award is one of the highest honors given to individuals who have dedicated their lives to empowering, supporting, and uplifting Mexican and Latino communities abroad.

Come out and support our Saints! Our High School Choir and High School Mariachi will take the stage at 7 p.m. for special performances, followed by the civic ceremony and award presentation at 8 p.m.

Join us at Plaza Calle Dos Cinco this Tuesday, Sept. 15!

At Santa Fe South, leadership isn't just about managing schools – it's about opening doors and building the future alongside our students.

Meet Ashley Hontz, our Secondary English Content and Curriculum Coordinator! Now in her 8th year with SFS, Ms. Hontz started her journey right in the classroom as a high school English teacher before stepping into instructional coaching and site leadership. Today, she supports our 6th–12th grade readers across the district, ensuring teachers have the tools, coaching, and rigorous curriculum they need to help every student thrive.

Behind that dedication is a serious depth of preparation. Ms. Hontz holds a Bachelor’s in Secondary English Education from OBU and a Master’s in Curriculum Development from York College. She is also currently pursuing her PhD in Instructional Leadership and Academic Curriculum at the University of Oklahoma. For Ms. Hontz, that academic rigor is deeply personal – raised by parents who were both educators, she saw firsthand how a teacher’s belief and passion can ignite a student's confidence.

"My hope is that every student in our buildings leaves with the confidence, skills, and knowledge that they need to move on to the next step in achieving the dream that they have for their lives," Ms. Hontz said. "My hope is that our students have a seat at any table that they want to sit at, and beyond that they can hold their own at that table and share their ideas and fight for what they know is right."

Her favorite part of being a Saint? The students – especially her former TEAM, the "Hontzables"!

"Come and spend a day with our Saints, I promise you will be asking where to apply so that you too could have the joy of being with them every day."

We’re excited to introduce a new 6-Week Developmental Wrestling Program!

Designed for elementary, middle school, and high school students, this program is an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of wrestling while developing confidence, discipline, teamwork, and character in a positive, supportive environment.

-No prior wrestling experience required
-Open to boys and girls
-Open to our entire community
-No special equipment required—just athletic clothes and a water bottle

September 18 – October 24
Sports Complex / Fieldhouse
Elementary: 5:00–5:45 PM | MS/HS: 6:00–7:00 PM

SFS FFA is bringing AgTech directly to the classroom!

With new support from the Devon Energy Technology and Innovation Grant, our Introduction to Horticulture students are advancing their toolkit with commercial hydroponic grow units and materials for the upcoming growing season.

Proud to be rooted in South OKC! Santa Fe South is the only public charter district in Oklahoma with an Agriculture & FFA Program! Visit and apply today!
