Comprised of a a 2-hour online self-study and a 4-hour live seminar/webinar, this program provides a total of 6 hours of continuing pharmacy education credit. We are excited to welcome Deidra Williams as the newest member of the OU Pharmacy Alumni Association Board! 🎉

Deidra is a second-generation Oklahoma pharmacist. After earning her doctor of pharmacy degree from OU Pharmacy in 2010, she completed her MBA at Southeastern Oklahoma State University and became board certified in geriatric pharmacy. Throughout her career, Deidra has held a variety of pharmacy leadership roles focused on geriatric care, medication management, pharmacy operations, and executive leadership. She currently serves as Director of Pharmacy for Oklahoma Medicaid at Humana, where she works to improve access to care and health outcomes for Oklahomans.

Committed to advancing the profession, Deidra currently serves as President of the Oklahoma Society of Health-System Pharmacists. She is passionate about mentoring future pharmacy leaders, fostering professional connections, and supporting initiatives that strengthen pharmacy practice and improve patient care across the state. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, cheering them on at soccer games and dance competitions.

Yesterday, May 14, we proudly celebrated the graduation of our newest members of the OU Pharmacy Alumni Association. Alumni Affairs Board members Megan King ’13 and J.J. Peek ’09 presented each graduate with a special alumni pin to commemorate this milestone, and J.J. also led the Oath of a Pharmacist.

As these individuals begin an exciting new chapter, we look forward to seeing the impact they will make on the pharmacy profession and the communities they serve. Boomer Sooner!
