The Oklahoma Rock Academy (ORA) is a music school offering young musicians an educational opportunity unique to the surrounding community. In addition to being an educator, the ORA will enhance the local music scene by providing a fun and exciting alternative to private music lessons. Students will grow musically, technically, intellectually, and professionally in a high-energy environment, accompanied by music industry and performing professionals. The Oklahoma City area doesn’t have a musical institution quite like the ORA. While there are places for students to take private music lessons, the ORA will provide additional training in performance practice, stage presence, and professionalism through group participation and public performances. The ORA will also offer college preparatory courses in musicianship, ear training, music theory, and creative awareness. The ORA will prepare its students to enter into and succeed in music colleges and in life. The ORA embraces an educational philosophy similar to any learning institution: to train young professionals with applicable skills, knowledge, and marketability. Where the ORA differs is in its milieu and unique delivery. The ORA quickly produces students that are capable of entering the public stage as a performer or creator or music.
