Our Bluejays showed their support for the Carl Albert Titans today by dressing in their Titan cheerleader outfits and bringing lots of school spirit to Barnes! 📣✨

We loved seeing our students show their Titan pride as they get ready to cheer on the Carl Albert Titans at tonight’s football game!

Fun with Play-Doh Math!

Our first graders are having fun while practicing their addition facts with Play-Doh! 🤗 Using hands-on learning makes math even more exciting as students create, count, and solve addition problems. 🔢✨

Who knew practicing math facts could be so much fun? Great job, first graders! 👏💙

☀️🔥 Science + S’mores = a pretty sweet way to learn! 🍫
Mrs. Shubert’s 5th graders took advantage of these hot days to dive into physical changes in matter!
Students designed and built their own thermal conductors, then put their creations to the test by using the heat of the sun to make delicious s’mores! ☀️🔥🍪
Who says science can’t be fun (and tasty)? These 5th graders are learning that the best experiments are the ones you get to eat! 😋
Great job, Mrs. Shubert’s class, for turning a hot day into a hands-on science adventure! 👏

Our little football players showed off their team spirit by wearing their team jerseys, while our little cheerleaders looked adorable in their cheer shirts! 🏈📣

Independence Day is coming to Mid-Del!

Tomorrow, Friday, August 21, is the LAST DAY parents and guardians may walk their elementary students to class.

Then, on Monday, August 24, Independence Day begins! Our students will take a big step by walking to their classrooms independently, building confidence and responsibility along the way.

Don’t worry, our amazing staff will be throughout the building ready to welcome, supervise, and help students every step of the way.

We’re excited to celebrate this milestone with our students! Thank you, families, for helping us encourage confident, independent learners.

What a great first day of school at Barnes Elementary! 🎉 Our halls were filled with smiling faces, excited students, and lots of Bluejay spirit as we kicked off a brand-new school year.
