A big thank you to Southwest Dairy Farmers for coming to Barnes today and helping make the last day of school even more memorable! Our Bluejays had such a great time and were excited to see a live cow right here at school!

Students learned all about the characteristics and anatomy of dairy cows, the importance of dairy foods for good health, the modern milking process, and modern environmental and food safety practices. One of the highlights of the day was getting to watch a live milking demonstration!

Thank you for providing such a fun and educational experience for our Bluejays. It was a great way to end the school year with learning and excitement!

🎓💙 Celebrating Our 5th Grade Bluejays! 💙🎉
Yesterday afternoon was filled with celebration as we honored our amazing 5th grade Bluejays! We lined the halls for the 5th Grade Promotion Walk, cheering them on as they walked through Barnes. It was a special moment full of memories, excitement, and Bluejay pride. 💙✨
During the 5th Grade Promotion Ceremony, we celebrated our students and all of their accomplishments as they prepare for the next chapter ahead. We also recognized our 5th Grade Honor Roll students for their hard work and academic achievements throughout the year. 🏅
We were also proud to honor our Lifetime Bluejays — students who have been part of the Barnes family since PreK and have grown with us through their elementary journey. What a special way to celebrate the memories and years they’ve spent at Barnes! 🐦💙
We are so proud of each and every one of our 5th graders and cannot wait to see all they accomplish in middle school and beyond! 🎓💛

☀️🎉 Super Kids Day Fun at Barnes! 💙💙

Our Bluejays had a fun-filled Friday celebrating Super Kids Day — what a great way to end the week! Students enjoyed a day packed with excitement, laughter, and friendly competition.

From pillow fights, tug of wars, sack races, ring tosses, long jumps, obstacle races, and so much more, there was fun around every corner! 🏃‍♂️👏

A special thank you to our 4th and 5th grade students for helping run the games and activities throughout the day. Your leadership and willingness to help made a big difference!

And a huge thank you to Mr. Fleming for all of his hard work, planning, and dedication in making Super Kids Day such a success for our Bluejays! 💙✨

Skip the hassle of back to school shopping! Barnes PTA will do the shopping for you. Kits include ALL listed school supplies for your child's class EXCEPT backpacks and headphones. Available with cash or credit. Order online for $63 through July1. Headphones add-on for an additional $10. All orders will be entered into a drawing to win a free popcorn membership. Kindergarten Letter Sound Fashion Show!

Our Kindergarten Bluejays did an amazing job this afternoon during their Letter Sound Fashion Show! Each student dressed up as something that began with the sound of their assigned letter and proudly walked the carpet showing off all they have learned this year.

We are so proud of our Kindergarteners and all of the growth they have made this year. They did a fantastic job! 👏
