Many of you probably know that I LOVE food and fitness but mainly food. Whether it is about what I'm going to prep for the week, what restaurant to try next, if I'm even really hungry or am I just bored, what cooking show should I watch tonight....you get my point. I used to run just so I could eat cake! I went through a lot the year I turned 16 and abused food for comfort. I gorged myself at almo
st every meal. For whatever reason, that made me feel better but only in a very small way. I became very distant, depressed, and my confidence level in myself was nowhere to be found. I ended up gaining 35 pounds within a year. It may not sound like much to some, but it was obvious and something needed to change. Luckily, I had people around me who saw the whole process and wanted to help. We first started lifting weights which honestly, was not fun and then fell in love with running. That is when I really saw the weight come off and the confidence come back. I have grown to really enjoy strength training and I probably apply that more so to my life now. Because of this journey, I can't help but want to help others feel the way I did. I know the struggle, I know how much will power it takes, I have been though the journey so let's Become FIIT together!
