Ralph Ellison Foundation Reading Clinic The Ralph Ellison Foundation Reading Clinic is an childhood literacy initiative in Oklahoma City.

The REF Reading Clinic is held every Saturday during the school year at Ralph Ellison Library. Children grades Pre-K thru 6th Grade are welcome to attend all over the OKC Metro. The Reading Clinic has a 3 year success rate for their 3rd Grade participants passing the state mandated reading test in Oklahoma. Reading Techniques that will be used includes:

Sight Words
Computer Reading games
Peer reading
One on one tutoring

We also provide help in math, science, social studies and more! High school and college students can gain volunteer hours for tutoring. Each child can get a free book a week to build their library at home.

Reading clinic will start back up this Saturday @ Ralph Ellison Library from 9:30am - 12:00pm. We focus on reading , reading comprehension , and mathematics. If you would like to sign your kid up for the program stop by Saturday!

This Saturday after "The Reading Clinic" we have a special treat for the kids. We will be taking the kids to go see "Hidden Figures" at Tinseltown. Parents let us know if you would like your kid to participate this Saturday and if you would like to volunteer to chaperon!
