Amelia Earhart Memorial Scholarship Fund

The Amelia Earhart Memorial Scholarship Fund Trustees are pleased to announce the scholarship recipients for 2026. The total funding for these awards is $241K.

Congratulations to Sydney Alquiza-Dacumos, a 2025 Spring First Wings scholarship winner, for earning her PPL on Friday, April 3. Her milestone is worth $1,000. Sydney is from the Monterey Bay chapter, Southwest Section.

Congratulations to Catherine Check for passing her practical test and earning her PPL on April 2, 2026. Catherine is from the British Columbia Coast chapter, West Canada Section. Catherine, a 2025 Spring First Wings scholarship winner, earned her last milestone payment of $1,000.

Congratulations to HalliAnn Glover, a 2025 Spring First Wings scholarship winner. HalliAnn completed her first solo yesterday and earned her milestone payment of $2,500. HalliAnn is from the Arkansas Chapter, South Central Section.

Congratulations to Rachel Stivers-Bender, a Spring 2025 First Wings Winner, for completing her FIRST SOLO! Rachel is from the Kentucky Bluegrass chapter, North Central Section. Rachel earns $2500 for this milestone.

Congratulations to Kat Baum, a Spring 2025 First Wings winner, who completed her Private Pilot License! Kat is from the Aloha chapter, Southwest Section. That earns her a $1,000 reimbursement.
Kat completed her practical test in 2 days as the weather/ visibility on the first day became so bad she had to discontinue the test. Sometimes that happens. Waiting for the DPE to come back was a challenge.
