Hello, Classmates~
Posting with a heavy heart this evening, we lost classmate, Ted Miller, yesterday (1-29-26).
Please keep his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
I will let you know when the service is as soon as I hear anything.

Ted was such a sweet person, always saying "Hi" or asking how are you, beautiful smile and an amazing athlete. He will be greatly missed.
I was blessed to call him "Friend"

It is with a heavy heart that I pass along this sad news. We have lost another classmate-Scott Johnson. He passed away around the 1st or 2nd of August. I don't much information about his passing. He was living in Salt Lake City.
I shared several classes with Scott in High School and was in touch with him until about a year ago. He was such a sweet guy, great smile and laugh. He was able to make it to a couple of our reunions, and it was so much fun catching up with him.
He will be dearly missed. Please keep his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers
RIP my friend.

This made me think of a lot of good times and I thought of a lot of y’all also. Love my classmates !

The little things

The first day you entered your first class

The smell of cinnamon rolls

That wink to that certain girl in the halls

That stare at that certain boy

The first time a teacher made you cry

The first time a teacher made you laugh

The shear fear of being late to class bc of crowded halls

That first 'A' on a test

The Friday night game day

The Saturday nights cruising your fav hangouts

The first kiss at the drive-in movies

The submarine races

The first day you could legally drive

The first prom

The first morning you entered the school as a Senior

The last time the final bell rang of your Senior year

The walk across the the stage for your diploma

The everlasting memories

.......it's the little things

It is with a heavy heart that I found out Sammy Potter passed away last July (7-23-24). I wondered why I hadn't seen any posting from him in a while.
He son, Cole, posted it on his page and somehow I missed it.
He was such an amazing person, so fun and always had that sweet smile on his face.
The world seems just a little smaller today, even though it's been just a little over a year.
Please keep his family in your prayers
RIP Sammy-you will be dearly missed by all of us.
Sail on my friend

Classmates, I’m sorry to relay some sad news. I’ve been informed that our classmate David Porter PC ‘80 has passed away. He died unexpectedly on July 1st, from natural causes.

A little update about David after PC - After graduating from OU, he attended Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Austin, TX; and became an ordained Presbyterian minister. Dave had a long ministry career serving smaller community churches in Natchitoches, LA, Ferriday, LA, and Anadarko, OK.

In more recent years, he had settled down in the Dallas area, where he had several close friends from his OU days. He will be missed by many.

If the class of 1980 has a separate page, I would appreciate it of someone could share this there as well. Thank you.
