In memory of the many car videos we watched for years, please remember to vote today! Every registered voter in Oklahoma has something on the ballot. If you want better, you have to show up and make decisions!
Also, I wore my election tie today. It is my favorite Mad Magazine cover!

Today has been tough. I received a call from Sean Maples this morning that his mother, Pat Paddleford, had passed over the weekend.
I don't know if you have ever had the benefit of having a "work mom" but for those of you who have, you know how important this person can be in your life. Pat was the exact right person for me to have in this role during my time with the Oklahoma House of Representatives. She was my cheerleader to run for office, she was my gatekeeper as a lawmaker, and she was one of the most important people in my life next to my own flesh and blood mom.
Since she left the capitol in retirement, I did not see her enough, I did not call her enough, and I will certainly miss having the chance to pick up the phone and hear her voice.
Thank you, Mother Superior, for raising the "ornery little s**t" that you brought up in the building. I will promise to keep being me. Love you

🎙️ A new episode of DSACO: Up for Discussion is here!

This week, we sit down with Joe Dorman to discuss the important work being done to advocate for Oklahoma’s children and families. Joe shares insights on child advocacy, why it matters, and how communities can work together to create a brighter future for every child.

We also talk about the Child Advocacy Award, an honor that recognizes individuals making a lasting impact for children across Oklahoma. We’re especially proud to share that our own Sarah Soell was the recipient of this award last year in recognition of her incredible advocacy for individuals with Down syndrome and their families.
