Blog Post - The Dangers of Money (Part 5)

The reason we work is to make the lives of another better. That’s why we need to be aware of this possible danger:
Money Can Keep You from Starting New Relationships
Sure, you need to make a profit, but, as Michael Scott from the Office says, “We’re in the people business.” Running an organization is about people. A compelling vision, a good reason why your idea is worth the effort, and a solid plan is attractive to people. And people – more than anything else – are your most valuable resource. As you do things well, stay creative, work hard, and do it in the right direction, you’ll change the world (or at least your little section of it), people will be impacted for the good, and new relationships will develop. And relationships are the most important resource in the world. After all you are building something great. And as the African Proverb advises, “If you want to go fast, go alone, if you want to go far, go with others.”

Most people thinking about a new business idea are halted because they are worried to mess up or fail.
What keeps you from starting something new? Is it worry that you don’t have enough experience? Fear that you will fail? Are you scared you don’t know enough? Doing something new is hard, but it helps when you have a plan and someone to work that plan with you.

It is valuable to have a dream client in mind when planning for a .
However, it's better to be strategic when it comes to the people that are your dream clients.
What is your client like? Where does your client live? Hangout? Work? What are the things your client is passionate about?
Consider what your client is like and be intentional to reach her. Get a picture in your mind and reach out to your dream client. Who do you know that is like the one in your mind? When you were coming up with your product or service, who did you imagine serving?
