Epic Charter Schools students spent the day exploring the beauty of Chickasaw National Recreation Area in Sulphur 🌿

Families enjoyed a presentation from a park ranger inside the Travertine Nature Center before taking a hike to Antelope Springs, where students got to experience the small waterfalls and scenic trails along the way. The nature center was also a favorite stop for hands on learning and exploration.

It was a beautiful day of outdoor adventure, discovery, and time together in one of Oklahoma’s most unique natural spaces.

Shilah Stephens is graduating from Epic Charter Schools and preparing for her next chapter as she begins looking for a job after high school 🎓⁠

During her time at Epic, Shilah says teacher Amy Caspe was always incredibly helpful and supportive whenever she needed guidance.⁠

Science was Shilah’s favorite subject, and she developed a strong interest in becoming a nurse through her studies and experiences in school 🩺⁠

One accomplishment she is especially proud of is pushing through struggles and continuing to work hard to get where she is today. She shares that even through difficult moments, she always believed she could make it through.⁠

Braylon Severs is finishing his time at Epic Charter Schools with plans to possibly attend trade school after graduation 🎓⁠

During his time at Epic, Braylon says teacher Morgan Fletcher made a lasting impact through her patience and caring attitude. He appreciated having someone who always supported him along the way.⁠

Science was Braylon’s favorite subject, where he enjoyed learning new concepts and exploring how things work 🔬⁠

One accomplishment he is most proud of is never giving up, even through challenges and difficult moments.⁠

Outside of school, Braylon enjoyed spending time playing video games and participating in sports 🏀⁠

Ania Gonzalez is headed to Grayson County College in Sherman, Texas, where she plans to attend esthetician school after graduation 🎓

During her time at Epic Charter Schools, Ania says Mrs. Pugh made a huge impact on her experience through her kindness, understanding, and constant support. She shared how grateful she is to have had a teacher who was always there to help when needed.

Math was Ania’s favorite subject because it always came naturally to her and was something she genuinely enjoyed learning 📚

One accomplishment Ania is especially proud of is completing three grade levels in just two years while attending Epic, showing her determination and strong work ethic.

Outside of school, Ania enjoyed spending time with family and friends, exploring creative interests, and continuing to build important life skills like communication, responsibility, and time management through balancing school, work, and daily responsibilities.
