Both Respiratory Care cohorts are officially back, and there was no time wasted diving right into mechanical ventilation and noninvasive positive pressure ventilation! 🫁💨

Our students were also welcomed back to a brand-new space designed for learning, collaboration, and hands-on respiratory care education. We’re excited to see all that they will accomplish in this new environment!

Our Respiratory Care students had an outstanding collaborative experience with the OCCC Physical Therapist Assistant program!

RC students took the lead in educating PTA students on airway clearance devices and techniques, sharing hands-on knowledge that directly impacts patient outcomes. The day wrapped up with both groups working together to safely mobilize a critical patient for therapeutic exercise—demonstrating true interdisciplinary teamwork in action.

Experiences like this highlight the importance of collaboration in healthcare and prepare our students for real-world patient care.
