A friendly reminder,

Please note that Esperanza Elementary’s school hours for 2026-2027 have changed 8:10 a.m. to 3:20 p.m. Our doors open at 7:45am for breakfast. Students must be in their classrooms ready to learn by 8:10a.m Students arriving after 8:10 a.m are considered late.

Please plan accordingly!

Good morning Esperanza families,
It is time to start getting ready for 2026-2027 school year. Please, pay close attention to the school supply list for it has changed. In a continued effort to create an environment focused on learning and achievement as well as providing additional security, we are a uniform school for this school year. While shoes remain student choice, they must follow OKCPS Dress Code Guidelines. Flip flop and backless sandals will not be permitted. Physical Education classes as well as field play will need a closed toe shoe which allows the student to run, jump, and skip.

Es momento de comenzar a prepararse para el año escolar 2026-2027. Por favor, presten mucha atención a la lista de útiles escolares, ya que ha cambiado. Como parte de nuestro esfuerzo continuo por crear un ambiente centrado en el aprendizaje y el éxito académico, así como por brindar mayor seguridad, este año escolar implementaremos el uso de uniformes. Si bien los estudiantes pueden elegir su propio calzado, este debe cumplir con las normas del código de vestimenta de OKCPS. No se permitirán chanclas ni sandalias descubiertas en la parte posterior. Para las clases de educación física y las actividades al aire libre, será necesario usar calzado cerrado que permita a los estudiantes correr, saltar y brincar.

Hey Esperanza families! We have an exciting opportunity for girls in the 3rd/4th grade. We are doing Girls on the Run this year! This is an after school program where girls get to train for a 5K, build confidence, and create friendships! There is a registration fee, but there is financial assistance available and no girl will be turned away due to not being able to pay. This is such a great program and we'd love to see your girls after school! The flyers say practice is 3:30-4:45 on Tuesdays/Thursdays, but times will actually be 3:00-4:30 on Tuesdays/Thursdays.

Thank you so much for purchasing clear backpacks for your students-we truly appreciate your support in helping us keep our school safe and organized.

If you have not yet purchased a clear backpack, you have until Wednesday of this week to do so. After Wednesday all non-clear backpacks will be picked up and parents will need to get from office.
