OC Bible alumni, influenced by Jesus’ call to serve the least of these, have a long history of ministry to those on death row. Alum Jake Doberenz recently offered his opinion in The Oklahoman about clemency for death row inmates, arguing the state currently demands perfection. Have you seen Missionary in Residence Kent Hartman teaching class outside? The spring weather has permitted Professor Hartman, aka Crocodile Dundee, to bring his class into the Forum to soak up the sun while learning about the Bible. Be sure to keep an eye out for Professor Hartman in the wild!

On March 12–15, students from the College of Bible had the opportunity to travel to Washington, D.C., and experience some incredible historical sites. Dean of the College of Bible Dr. Jeremie Beller and Instructor for the College of Outreach and Innovation Mel Latorre accompanied the students as the group visited the Museum of the Bible, the United States Capitol, the Library of Congress, and the National Mall. It was an incredible few days filled with learning, meaningful connections, and opportunities to grow in faith. OC is so blessed to provide experiences like this for our students!

The College of Bible is incredibly thankful for alum Kendon Murrell, OC’s director of Third Culture Kids and Helpers in Missions. We were blessed to hear from him at Faith Talks Chapel on March 13. His roles allow him to walk alongside students from diverse backgrounds and support mission work that reaches far beyond campus. OC is proud of you, Kendon!
