We had a fantastic Bear Beginnings assembly today! Jimmy the Bear congratulated our Winter Reading Challenge winners and some of our teachers and students dressed up for the 100th day of school.

Today is Groundhog Day! This unique celebration started in England with people wishing for a shorter winter. Happy February, Bears! This calendar shows some of the important and exciting events coming up this month. As you can see, we have parent teacher conferences and a staff development day (which means no school for students!). We also have Kona Ice coming on the 8th and an author visit for Pre-K through 2nd grade students. Not pictured are lots of different events and activities for Black History Month throughout February.

: Due to continued winter weather and hazardous road conditions, students will learn from home Tuesday, January 31. Students should work asynchronously by logging in to Canvas or by completing work sent home from school. Please communicate with your child’s teacher if you have any questions.

After-school and evening activities for Tuesday, January 31 have also been canceled.

We will keep families updated as needed through social media, phone, and text messages, on the district website.

: Below freezing temperatures could cause some of our bus routes to experience significant delays. To prevent students from being outside for an extended period of time, if you are able, please drop your student(s) off at school versus having them riding the school bus.

The National Weather Service suggests dressing children in layers, including wearing a hat, winter coat and gloves to help protect your student from the extreme cold.

Please be patient if your child’s bus is late picking them up or dropping them off. Your child’s school will be lenient on tardiness related to late buses.

Students! Drama club will begin this Thursday Jan 5, 2023 after school from 3:30 to 4:30. Pickup will be in the circle drive at 4:30. We have some exciting news! Ventriloquist and America's Got Talent finalist Todd Oliver will be visiting and giving a free perfomance for students tomorrow afternoon. He will perform for 2-4th grades at 1:15 and Pre-K through 1st at 2:00. Todd will also be performing at Yale Theater this Friday and Saturday evening!
