If you don't know this name, you should! Linda Wiginton's "legend" status continues to grow. She was recently named National Girls Swim Coach of the Year! 👏
Altus, Oklahoma — a small town in a landlocked state — may not be the first place that comes to mind when you think of a nationally recognized swim program. But Linda has been shaping generations of athletes since 1981, many of whom have gone on to collegiate careers. Over the last 45 years, she's led Altus High School girls' swimming team to a 715-199-3 record. 😳
She sat down with the Oklahoma Memo to talk about her career and accomplishments. We appreciate the kind words she had to say regarding the OSSAA in the clip below!
