ESAs (education savings accounts) provide funds for families to use on education-related expenses. Currently there are about 15+ states who offer them.

Texas is one of the newest states rolling out a new education funding program this year, and I know many families — homeschool, private school, and microschool — are curious about what it is and how it works.

Applications open in February, but in-person info events are beginning this week, starting in San Antonio, to help answer questions. Comment "SESSION" for details on one near you.

In celebration of National Indigenous Peoples Day, we visited the First Americans Museum in Oklahoma with our co-op.

And to say that I was moved is an understatement.

One day I'll have to create a video where I can go into greater detail about all that I learned and saw, but my top 3 takeaways were:

✔️ European colonization was (and is) cruel, savage, and evil — all the same propaganda they used to paint our Indigenous brothers and sisters.
✔️ Generational trauma is real, especially when you live in a country that still refuses to acknowledge the tremendous pain it's caused.
✔️ The parallels between the dehumanization of Indigenous Americans and Black Americans are undeniable. I’m ashamed that I’m only now learning the full truth — but as I learn, my children will learn too.

I’m grateful that homeschooling gives me the freedom to teach my girls real history...the kind that honors truth, resilience, and pride.
