Dinner tonight with my buddy. Troy has a huge heart, a great ear and takes you all in when you talk with him. People close to him know his true warmth and protective spirit well. He’s my son, of whom I’m always well pleased. 👊♥️

Grief & loss of loved ones -

A timely topic for those of you with close friends & family you’ve perhaps lost recently.

I won’t attempt to explain why any of it happened….

We can’t.

Nor will we attempt to explain or understand Gods plan.

But….

There are some words to cast over this. For hope. For peace. For all of us.

…Just like we get to see Jesus one day, and celebrate what He did, and does, and will do…. And talk to Him.

In that moment, I bet we then see & understand it all. Among those understandings??

We will see it’s just the beginning.

Likewise…, of all the pain we see, experience and live through on Earth - the hardest moments are these.

But….

They also bring us together.

They also make us feel.

They also remind us all the good things about our lost loved one, and what we all did together….

They also remind us to LiVE …. Especially if you’ve been dead too long.

So what????

Like our reunion with Jesus, we’ll also have it with our lost loved one.

&

At that reunion, we’ll get to re-live right now. These moments we spent loving, missing, chatting about and remembering them. They’ll later tell us they saw it, and heard us.

In that moment, all this will suddenly turn to unspeakable joy, as we get them back.

Maybe that’s why all these hard (and terrible) things happen - because of the certainty of getting all good things back which were lost.

They are not lost.

We are only stronger for these “losses.”

This is what Jesus would maybe do. This is what Jesus is about.

Comebacks and the future.

This is a beginning.
