🧡 Operation Orange is Coming to Tahlequah!

Calling all 9th–12th graders interested in exploring careers in healthcare! 🩺🧡

Join OSU AHEC and OSU Center for Health Sciences Cherokee Nation for Operation Orange on October 2nd at the OSUCOM Tahlequah Campus!

Students will have the opportunity to explore healthcare careers through hands-on, interactive activities designed to give them a closer look at what it’s like to work in the health professions.

This week, the OSU Area Health Education Center (AHEC) Program Office and SWOK Area Health Education Center (Memorial Health) proudly represented OSU AHEC at the National AHEC Organization (NAO) Leadership Forum in Washington, D.C.

As part of the Leadership Forum, our team participated in Capitol Hill visits with Oklahoma's congressional delegation and their staff, sharing how OSU AHEC strengthens Oklahoma's healthcare workforce through our Pathway Programs, AHEC Scholars, clinical training opportunities, and continuing education.

Thank you to Oklahoma's congressional delegation for taking the time to learn more about the impact of and the importance of supporting healthcare workforce development across our state's rural and underserved communities.
