One week. Nineteen future pharmacists. πβοΈ
Camp BoomeRx welcomed its largest cohort yet this summer, giving undergraduate students a closer look at what a future in pharmacy can look like.
From mini lectures and specialty pharmacy tours to leadership activities, team-building challenges, and volunteering at the OKC Zoo, it was a week packed with learning, connection, and plenty of new experiences.
Thanks to this year's campers for bringing the energy. We can't wait to see where your pharmacy journeys take you next.

Cyclotron construction has begun!
The GE HealthCare PETtrace 890 Cyclotron, acquired in collaboration with GE HealthCare and Cyclomedical International, will enable The University of Oklahoma to produce advanced radiopharmaceuticals on site.
College of Pharmacy team, Dean Medina, Dr. Wendy Galbraith, Dr. Vihbu Awasthi, Pharmacist Ann Quezada, Eric Johnson, and Kevin Rinaldi, recently toured the cyclotron construction site
βMany of these radiopharmaceuticals simply havenβt been available in Oklahoma before,β said Dean Medina. Now we can produce them here, which opens the door to better imaging, faster decisions, and more personalized treatments for Oklahomans.β
