✨Indigi Girls had an amazing time at the UNITY Conference in Oklahoma City! We had the opportunity to connect with so many incredible Indigi Girls from across Turtle Island.✨

During our Matriarch Moves leadership sessions, participants reflected on the matriarchs who have shaped their lives and explored their own leadership values. Each Indigi Girl left with a handmade bag charm as a reminder of the values that guide her leadership journey, along with one of our Summer Program Boxes. 💕

We are incredibly grateful to UNITY for the opportunity to share our Matriarch Moves sessions at this year’s conference. 🤩

A special thank you to Indigi Girls College Representative Georgia Harjo for co-facilitating our sessions, and congratulations to Indigi Girls College Representative Layalalanai Gocobachi for being recognized as part of UNITY’s 25 Under 25 leadership program.🎉

✨Indigi Girls is headed to UNITY! We will be joining the 2026 UNITY National Conference as workshop presenters! ✨

We’re excited to bring our Matriarch Moves workshop to Oklahoma City and connect with Indigi Girls from across the country.🤩

If you’re attending the conference, we invite you to join us on Monday, July 13, during Session 3 at 2:30 PM and Session 4 at 3:30 PM in Room 301A.
We’ll also be sharing some of our Summer program boxes during the workshop, so be sure to stop by. 🌸

Indigi Girls, tomorrow is shipping day for our first Future Matriarch Boxes, and we can’t wait to get them into your hands! 📫

Each box includes everything you’ll need to participate in this month’s activities, including all of the materials featured in the video, along with prompts to help you tell your story. 📖

Video guides will be posted on our social media pages beginning Wednesday, June 17.

Happy June, Indigi Girls! ☀️

As summer begins, we are excited to launch our Future Matriarch Program Boxes! 💕

During June, July, and August, 30 Indigi Girls will receive a program box filled with activities connected to that month’s theme, along with fun giveaways from Native women-owned businesses. While each box will focus on the same monthly theme, activities will be tailored to different age groups.

We are offering boxes for:
• Ages 9–12
• Ages 13–17
• Ages 18–24

If you would like to receive a box, please use the QR code on the flyer to register. Boxes are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are available to Indigi Girls in the U.S. If you are not selected to receive a box for a particular month, don’t worry; we’ll share all the monthly activities on our social media pages so you can follow along from home.

For Indigi Girls under 18, permission from a parent or guardian will be required to receive a box and participate in the program.

This program is made possible through the generous support of the Return to Heart Foundation, and we are incredibly grateful for their investment in Indigi Girls.

We look forward to a fun summer of learning, connection, and growth as you participate in the monthly activities and explore your Future Matriarch journey with us!

Yesterday, Indigi Girls hosted our Matriarch Moves: Native Women Entrepreneurs event! 🌟

Participants connected with Native women business owners who shared their journeys, along with insights on what it takes to start and sustain a business as Indigenous women. 🤩

Participants also had the opportunity to share their own business ideas and receive guidance and feedback on their concepts and logo designs. It was a morning filled with community and Indigenous women empowering Indigenous girls and young women.

A huge thank you to our featured Native women business leaders for sharing your knowledge and expertise, to our participants for taking a healthy risk and investing in yourselves, to Native Health for providing the venue, and to our Indigi Girl board members and volunteers who helped make this event possible.

This was our final event of the 2025-2026 school year, but we’ll be back with more events in August! Our Summer 2026 plans will be announced on Tuesday, so keep an eye out. You won’t want to miss what we have planned! ✨

Indigi Girls is excited to announce our May event, Matriarch Moves: Native Women Entrepreneurs, an opportunity for Indigenous girls and young women ages 13 to 24 to learn what it means to build and run their own business. 💫

During this event, participants will connect with Indigenous women entrepreneurs who will serve as mentors throughout the experience. Youth will explore their passions, design a logo, practice business budgeting, and learn directly from women who are leading their own businesses.🤩

May 5th is the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG). Indigi Girls stands in solidarity with Indigenous communities and the organizations working to address this ongoing crisis.

We believe every Indigenous girl and woman deserves the opportunity to become the matriarch she is meant to be. Addressing the MMIWG epidemic is essential to the healing and safety of our communities. Our people deserve justice and to live without fear.

We encourage Indigi Girls to join local actions this week and get involved in this important work. Take time to educate yourself and others, especially as efforts to silence this movement increase. Please follow and support the organizations leading this work on the frontlines.

Take care of yourselves and one another, Indigi Girls. ♥️

Indigi Girls closed out April with a celebration of Mother Earth at our Honoring Mother Earth, Building Our Future event! 🌎💕

The evening featured UNITY Earth Ambassador and Indigi Girls Board of Directors College Representative, Laylalanai Gocobachi, who shared her experiences in environmental science, guided participants in creating natural water filters, and highlighted environmental careers.

Each participant left with a plant as a reminder of their connection to Mother Earth and our responsibility to care for her for future generations. Thank you to everyone who attended and to those who helped make the evening possible. We look forward to our May event; details coming soon! 💫
