All languages are complicated to learn. Some more so than others... In English, words sounding the same but with different meanings and often spelled differently.
Sent, scent, cent.
Sometimes the same word is used as a used as a noun and a verb. For example, wash used as a noun and as a verb.
Today I did my wash(laundry).
I plan to wash my bedsheets too!

How about a few multi-syllable words for practice?
Particularly, decidedly, and regularly?
Other common mispronounced words are: parents, visit, worthwhile, and curiosity.
