After nearly six years on 9th Street, Recess OKC is on the move!

This was our first home. Workspace for parents and play space for children— families showing up each day thriving together.

This space is where friendships were made. Children played, learned, and grew. So many memories were created here on 9th Street.

Recess is community-built, and as we grow we plan to stay this way. We started with the help of you. We’re incredibly grateful for our community and your support over the years.

Thank you for believing in our vision.

We’ll continue serving families from our temporary location and will announce our new permanent home soon.

We can’t wait to share what we have in store for this next chapter.

At Recess, our days are filled with child-led free play, balanced with circle time and small group activities.

Group activities and circle time help children strengthen communication and listening skills, practice taking turns, and build confidence while learning together.

Infant Care at Recess ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The first year of life is filled with incredible milestones, and we believe every moment matters.

From bottles to first foods, tummy time to first words, learning through play begins from day one with stories, songs, conversation, sensory play, and loving interactions.

At Recess, infant care is personal. Our teachers are trained in Safe Sleep, CPR, First Aid, and ongoing early childhood education. We intentionally enroll only two infants at a time so each baby receives the individualized care and attention they deserve.

The first year is special, and we’re honored to care for your little one through it.

Because working parents deserve a place where work and family can thrive together!
