Montessori Radmoor School is proud to expand its programming into 7th and 8th grades, with the opening of the Montessori Radmoor Middle School campus in Fall 2026!
Montessori middle school program is designed to be a deeply grounding and empowering experience for adolescents at a time when everything in their inner world is shifting.
Students feel seen and understood. Montessori environment is intentionally designed around the developmental needs of adolescents, so instead of feeling like they have to fit into a system, they experience a sense of “this was made for me”.
They develop a strong sense of belonging. Rather than competing for grades or recognition, students work collaboratively, depend on one another, and contribute to a shared community. This fosters real friendships, trust, and the feeling of being valued—not just for achievement, but for who they are.
There’s a powerful growth in self-worth and identity. Adolescents are asking, “Who am I?” and “Where do I fit?” Montessori middle school method gives them meaningful work, responsibility, and a voice in their environment. They see themselves as capable, thoughtful individuals whose ideas matter.
Students experience emotional safety. With supportive guides and a respectful culture, they can take risks, make mistakes, and grow without fear of embarrassment or failure. This nurtures resilience and a healthier relationship with challenges.
There is a deep sense of purpose. Through real-world work, community engagement, and integrated learning, students feel that what they do matters. School becomes more than assignments—it becomes a place where they contribute, create, and connect to something larger than themselves.
Finally, there’s academic preparation not only for high school but for life. Academic learning is rigorous and aligned with state and national standards – but it doesn’t stop there. We go beyond the standards to spark curiosity, inspire critical thinking, and nurture the whole person. Our students learn to take ownership of their education, wrestle with complex questions, collaborate with others, and lead with integrity.
Montessori middle school doesn’t just educate the mind—it supports the heart, helping adolescents feel grounded, capable, connected, and truly known.
“The whole life of the adolescent should be organized in such a way that will allow him or her, when the time comes, to make a triumphal entry into the life of society, not entering it debilitated, isolated or humiliated, but with head high, sure of himself or herself."
-Dr. Maria Montessori
