Be 'Crafty' with natural items found in nature. Here is a sign made from scrap barnwood, beach glass, driftwood, fossil corals and crinoids, Petoskey Stones, shells and sectarians (sometimes called lightning stones). Just determine a saying, glue them on and let it dry.

Potter Park Zoo is hosting one or two classes for each week September-April.  Cost of BZL 2024-25 is $40 per student.  If you are a new BZL teacher, training is required and will be held in Fall 2024.

The natural world has so much to offer us, yet many of us are “too busy” to reap in it’s abundant benefits.

As we draw in on the holidays and our children are taking time off of school, it’s important to get off the screens and spend time outdoors. Spending time in nature doesn’t have to be committing to a 10-mile hike... It could be as simple as having a backyard picnic.
