m The Montessori Institute in Denver, CO. This is a genuine Montessori home environment for children under the age of three. When a child has had their third birthday by September 1st, they move on from my day care and into one of the local Montessori schools for the age three to six program. I'm looking for families who know and appreciate Dr. Maria Montessori's philosophy and method of learning and are eager to work with me for continuity between day care and their home environments. The hours available for care are full time between 7:30am - 5:30pm, Monday - Friday. The fee is $300 per week for infants under 18 months. The fee is $275 per week for children older than 18 months. The fee is paid for the day of scheduled care whether or not a child is in attendance. Families have distinct opinions on food that they prefer their children eat. Each family provides food for their child. Each child empties their own lunch box in the morning placing their food in their own 'refrigerator box' that I put in the refrigerator. Children set their own place at the table using a cloth place mat and napkin, breakable dishware and child size metal flat ware. They each have their own pitcher and glass. I pour water in their pitcher which they pour into their glass on their place mat. Water is available at all times throughout the day. Food is served on dishware and can be microwaved. I have experience with food allergies, sensitivities, and religious restrictions. I am cautious so as not to cross contaminate through dishes, cutting boards, knives and flatware. We play outside daily for an hour or more as weather permits. There are several climbers, a sand box, dishes, cars, planes, trucks, balls, rakes, water sprayers, watering cans, a wagon, bikes, chalk, brooms, and just shy of an acre of property to run and play. We have a dog in our child care community. He was born and raised in my home while I was fostering his pregnant mom through a local rescue group. He's just the sweetest dog as all references can attest. References are available upon request.
