Kickoff 2026 was an inspiring celebration of 30 years dedicated to our students, our schools and the remarkable staff who make it all possible. Here is a look back at their passion for setting a positive start to the school year and their commitment to improving life chances as we look forward to the next three decades.

We had the opportunity to recognize this year’s Making a Difference Award recipients: individuals whose dedication, passion, and commitment to our students, schools, and colleagues truly stand out.

These awards celebrate people who don’t just show up—they make an impact.

Congratulations to all of our recipients, and thank you for the difference you make every day. We’re proud to celebrate you! 💙

🎶 STUDENTS STOLE THE SHOW! 🎶

What better way to celebrate 30 years than with performances from some of the talented students who make our work so meaningful!

Our Kickoff celebration featured incredible student performers from the Hope of Detroit Academy Chorale, the George Crockett Academy Mighty Rockets Drumline and Aztec Eagles Academy Middle School Violines Cromáticos who brought their talent, energy and passion to the stage.

We’re so proud of our students and grateful to the educators and school communities who continue to give them opportunities to shine.

Thank you for helping make our 30th Anniversary Kickoff unforgettable!

Throughout Kickoff, team members had the opportunity to participate in a variety of professional development sessions designed to share ideas, build skills, spark conversations, and support the important work happening across our schools.
A huge thank you to all of our presenters for sharing your knowledge, expertise, and time with our team!

And thank you to everyone who participated, asked questions, shared ideas, and made each session a meaningful part of the day.

Here’s to continuing to learn, grow, and move forward—together.
