Today we celebrate Administrative Professionals Day by recognizing someone who has made a lasting impact on our campus community for nearly two decades, Twyla Blair. As Twyla prepares to retire at the end of this month, we also celebrate her incredible 19-year journey with the Dixon Hendry family.

Twyla began her time with The River in 2003 as a part-time adjunct instructor before joining the Dixon Hendry team full-time in 2007 as an Administrative Assistant, later stepping into the role of Campus Coordinator in 2023. Throughout the years, she has been known for her welcoming demeanor and the friendly, familiar smile that greets every student and visitor who walks into the Student Success Office.

While her title may not have been advisor, to so many, Twyla was exactly that—someone they trusted, turned to, and relied on for guidance and support.

We are grateful for the lasting impact she has made on our students, our team, and our community. Congratulations, Twyla, on your retirement. We wish you all the best in this exciting next chapter!
