It was founded in 1946 by a community of educators and philosophers who were convinced of the need for new approaches to education. They envisioned an educational climate that would foster the overall intellectual and emotional development of each student in every aspect of daily life. A community whose members would be held together by an ethical and profoundly spiritual bond, regardless of individual backgrounds and beliefs.

During her college journey, she earned Dean’s List honors and contributed her voice to a national committee advocating for disability rights - experiences that reflect her commitment, leadership, and purpose-driven work.

Looking back, Jamyan encourages current students to enjoy their high school years while staying grounded in who they are and what they want to achieve: “Be the best version of yourself, for you and nobody else.”

The class recently visited the Museum of Tolerance to deepen their understanding of 20th-century global conflicts and human rights. Through interactive exhibits, Holocaust history, and Anne Frank’s story, students reflected on how museums use artifacts and storytelling to create meaningful learning experiences as they prepare to curate their own museum projects.
