VTC Practical Nursing Program Looking for a new career in nursing? VTC offers a one academic year certificate program. The nursing program is 11 months (1 academic year) in length.

The school-year begins in August and finishes in June of the following year. Approximately 50% of the time is spent in clinical practice and 50% in the classroom. Clinical experience is received at several local health care facilities. Clinical time also includes several rotations in our high fidelity simulation lab. Graduates are eligible to take the State Board of Nursing Licensing Examination for Practical Nurses. The school operates one campus in Oil City and one campus in Warren, PA.

They are completing their clinical training with us and we are thrilled to have them! l’ve heard many praises for their work ethic and knowledge from TCP staff. A Sweet Way to Learn Medical Terminolgy!

Our nursing students put their knowledge to the test with a Medical Terminology Candy Match activity. Students are challenged to match medical terms with the correct definitions to find their corresponding sweet treat.

Teamwork in Action!

After learning about the importance of teamwork and collaboration in nursing, our nursing students put those concepts into practice with a Teamwork Scavenger Hunt!

Among many other tasks, students were to take a photo:
1. fitting as many people as they can find into a standard 5-seat vehicle

Yesterday, our Oil City students participated in a Pressure Injury Display contest. Students were asked to create various types and stages of pressure injuries that the class as a whole would then vote for their favorite.
