RN graduates participate in IVCC pinning ceremony

Forty-nine registered nursing students celebrated the completion of their program during the associate’s degree nursing graduation at Illinois Valley Community College on May 16. Graduates received their nursing pins and recited the Nursing Pledge during a traditional candle lighting ceremony.

Graduates Adam Brown, Taylor Lonask and Alexandrea Beyer were featured speakers of the day. Members of the Alpha Delta Nu honor society were recognized and members of the Illinois Valley Nurse Honor Guard – many of whom also had graduated from the IVCC nursing program over the years – participated in the ceremony and celebrated the graduates' transition into the nursing profession.

Tonight was such a special night as we inducted 6 incredible nursing students into the Alpha Delta Nu Nursing Honor Society. 💜🩺

Alpha Delta Nu is the honor society for associate degree nursing students through the Organization for Associate Degree Nursing.

Membership recognizes students who demonstrate excellence in scholarship, leadership, integrity, and professionalism in nursing.

These students have worked incredibly hard and have shown the compassion, dedication, and determination that make outstanding nurses.

Watching them grow into future nurses who will impact so many lives is truly inspiring.

Congratulations on this well-deserved achievement!

Your commitment to the nursing profession and to caring for others is something to be proud of. The future of nursing is in great hands. ✨
