Sharing info from the Tribal Youth Fellowship Program on their on the Indigenous Peoples Law & Policy Program. The Tribal Youth Fellowship Program is a new PAID program for Native youth. Youth members learn new skills and build on their existing strengths to tackle tribal justice issues in youth-centered ways.

Program members get to travel together, take on group and independent service projects, and build community with Native youth across regions.

To join the program, you must be a member of a Tribe, between ages 14 and 18, and want to work with other Native youth.

Sharing info about Natives Rising STEM Camp in Washington, DC. This is a 6-day camp from July 27-August 2, 2024. This is a FREE camp for Native American high school juniors and seniors. Deadline to apply is Tuesday, April 30.

Attention 9th-12th graders! The Bureau of Indian Affairs and the Bureau of Indian Education are accepting applications for the second annual Youth Indian Police Academy. The two week academy will take place on the campus of Riverside Indian School in Anadarko, OK, from June 16-28, 2024. Submit a five-paragraph essay by May 17 to apply for this excellent .

Please welcome our new committee members, Crystal Smith, Heather L. Heisler and Natalie Bergstrom! In addition to our current members, Vince Olson, Autumn HighElk and Theresa Trusty. Reimbursement requests may be turned in to any committee member. The next WOWE JOM meeting will be held Tuesday January 16-5:00PM at the White Earth Community Center, please feel free to attend if your are a parent/guardian of a WOWE JOM child.

Mini grants for teachers! Deadline to apply is January 22.

A new grant program will award mini-grants to support K-12 educators as they teach students about Native American culture, history and modern tribal governments in schools across Minnesota.
