Dear Families, Friends, and Visitors,
Madill School has 280 students in grades UPK-sixth grade. The staff at Madill is very enthusiastic and dedicated to meeting the individual needs of our students. Our school is a warm and safe environment, where teachers recognize each child as a unique individual, deserving of a rigorous and meaningful learning experience. Each student is assigned a chrome bo
ok, allowing 1:1 technology. Teachers in the primary use Seesaw as their primary platform, while intermediate teachers use Google Classroom as their primary platform. In addition to the core academic subjects in the classroom, our students also attend classes in art, music, physical education, and library/technology. One of our most important goals at Madill is to teach our students to take ownership and accountability for their own behavior. This is facilitated through our district initiative, The Positivity Project. Through The Positivity Project, students learn and practice 24 character traits that encourage positive interactions on a day to day basis. Recognition of positive behavior is ongoing throughout the year. At Madill, the parents, teachers, and support staff are all part of a unified family working hard to ensure the safety and well being of all students, while providing them with a challenging and rewarding educational experience. Parents are the first teachers, and as such, play an integral role as a part of this family in the education of our students. We invite you to come and see why, "The student is the center of everything we do!"
Sincerely,
Amy DiSalvo
