One more talk from Dr. Trentelman, who is now happily enjoying retirement. This is the lecture one does the autumn after winning the Lindquist Award, which Dr. T. was awarded with last spring. This talk is open to the public.

What can you do with a sociology degree? With Weber State Sociology graduate Mike Nguyen, you may want to rephrase this question as what CAN'T you do? Mike worked for Intermountain Healthcare and Salt Lake Community College before moving on to doing institutional research at a college on the east coast - while pursuing a PhD! And he still has time to dress like a ghostbuster.

WSU is hosting our own Climate Justice Teach-in and lots of other events next week, as a part of the World Wide Climate Justice Education Week, and the public is welcome to attend any and all of it! The Teach-in will be in the morning Monday and Tuesday - SPARC has pulled together terrific expertise from all across campus to address 4 different topics, 1 session each across the two mornings. The other events include things like an Eco-Poetry Open Mic and Theater Event on Wednesday, a game of Climate Jeopardy on Thursday, and cool outdoor service-type projects on Friday and Saturday.
