Intern for Path Forward Utah, Path for Utah, and Hope of Utah!
This opportunity is open to students in political science, communications, public relations, nonprofit management, or related fields to gain first-hand exposure to public policy, government, advocacy, and community engagement. These organizations host public forums, work with elected officials and community leaders, develop policy proposals, create educational campaigns, and address important issues facing Utah and the nation.
Intern responsibilities may include:
Assisting with social media content, messaging, and communications;
Researching public policy and community issues;
Helping coordinate forums, public events, and community meetings;
Supporting outreach to elected officials, organizations, speakers, and participants;
Assisting with day-to-day nonprofit operations;
Preparing event materials, written summaries, newsletters, and promotional content; and
Attending selected meetings, legislative events, forums, and community activities.
Interested students should understand and be comfortable working within a mission centered on conservative policy approaches and principles.
This is an unpaid, hybrid internship, with work completed both remotely and onsite. However, scholarships are available through the Walker Institute for students who qualify.
