How have you been blessed because of religion?
Our Elders quorum lesson today was on the "Church of Joy". I love this Church. It truly brings me joy. I live with my problems well because of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Did you know that it is scientifically proven that religion brings more health, happiness and fulfillment? It liberated us from the adversary's grasp. It helps us to go through the trials of life with greater energy, mental clarity, peace, and joy.
What benefits have you gotten from religion?

A life committed to God makes every aspect of our lives better.ππ»
"Growing evidence highlights this striking fact: religious believers are on average happier, healthier, and more fulfilled than those without spiritual commitment or connection. Happiness and life satisfaction, mental and physical health, meaning and purpose, character and virtue, close social relationships, even financial and material stabilityο»Ώβon each measure, religious practitioners flourish."

You CAN Overcome Anxiety by Dave Weber
Anxiety is a sign that happens when our bodies and minds aren't in their optimal state, their sphere of normalcy. When we are going against the natural ways of life, we may feel anxiety. The natural ways of life for human beings is that we are creatures of social bondedness. When we go against this natural community that's engrained in us, that our minds yearn balance for, then we feel warning signs and feel off. This feeling is a compass.π§ When we aren't social enough and fulfilling this natural need to be with others, that compass is pointing in the wrong direction and we feel anxious.β¬οΈπ When we fulfill this innate need of community with socialization, then we feel confidence with our fellow man and woman.β¬οΈπ
Like a muscle, this feeling of community needs to be exercised. If our habits and tendencies have driven us apart from our fellow human companions, then we may eventually feel more comfortable, but only after the 4th, 5th, 6th, or 7th time of being together in our community. This feeling of community will happen; I just don't know when it will for you because we are all so different. But exercise this, make small goals, and you will find fulfillment and feel less anxiety.
How do I make this change?
Set goals. You don't even need to write these down or do some fancy SMART Goals technique to reach these. I didn't do this when I was a youth. I had anxiety in public in almost every circumstance. I wanted to be with my peers and community so badly that I set goals. I persevered and did things WAY outside my comfort zone, all in the name of overcoming my anxieties and inadequacies.
Don't let this feeling keep you from living your best life. You were born to be social, our bodies testify of that because of the anxiety compass.
What goal can you set today to get out there and makie a difference with your fellow community members?π
*Don't get me wrong, there are some situations of severe, clinical anxiety and PTSD. Counseling may be necessary for these situations.ππ»

It's the year end. It's been a great year for the Webers!π It has also been a really eye-opening, revelatory, accomplishment kind of year. It's also been quite a challenging year in order to get here.
2025 is going to be a great year and full of successes too. 2024 has taught me great skills in business and being resilient. I'll continue to apply the skills I've learned and add to them. There's so much more to learn and to come in 2025! So excited! So optimistic!π
I'm ready for it. No excuses. This will be a "pass go and collect" year, not a read 'em and weep year; be accomplished, not a failure. With God, I CAN DO IT! I WILL DO IT!
YESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!πͺπ»
Your Best Life, for Young People | Blog Post by Dave Weber
I was talking to a kid who's life is just plain miserable, according to him. He feels that when he becomes a teenager, he will still be treated like a little child, just like he feels he is treated now. Now granted, if adults don't already, they should be treating him respectfully. Yet he still reflects helplessness in life and only awaits the next game (board and video games are his only joy).
Young Nephi, in the beginning of the Book of Mormon, led a small colony and the birth of a civilization. He happily served and led when his family left their community in Jerusalem, and he separated his people from his wicked older brothers, once established in the Americas. Why was Nephi looked up to and respected so well in both situations? Because he worked the hardest and was the most responsible (he was also a spiritual leader). He was happily willing to work and build (and lift) up his territory.
Kids should learn the virtues of good, hard work and responsibility. They can learn, early on, the greater meanings of a happy life if they seek to improve their territoryβtheir home and yard. Imagine, a child magnifying their position and living their best life!
You, as a young person, can live your best life in your current circumstances. Work hard, serve without being told to do something, be consistent, and you will be shocked at how good you will feel, and how much more involved you will become in your family, community, and the world.
Sometimes, even as adults, we are treated like a child. That's probably mostly because of neglect on our part to be involved and help out; to lift our territories to be better than the way we found them. I wish I had this attitude when I was a child. I wish I did everything I could to help in my territory. I wish I was respected, even now, as a responsible adult. I have my journey to continue on and prove myself. There are still those who need to see me as a truly reliable person. They'll see me, the new me, someday. Until then I'll keep holding down and keeping our territory (and community) in tip-top shape.
I know someone who is a perfect example to me of living their best life because they contribute and lift others' burdens. They truly care and help with the upkeep of others' territories. That person, I used to think, was crazy. But now I know why they work so hard. They have joy with others. They are so respected and loved.
Live your best life now, even if you're so young.
