If color weren't important the Earth would have been created in black and white. The full spectrum of color is a naturally occurring phenomenon, as any color, in all its shades and hues, can be found in our natural environment.

I am constantly in awe when I step outside and see a radiant sunset with impressive colors saying goodnight to the day or a bold colored flower turning heavenward to soak up the sunlight.

When I see the colors in nature I am reminded of how magnificent my creator and God is and just how much He loves me. It brings a smile to my face and a tear to my cheek with gratitude for the amazing colors that surround us. Nature and all of the full spectrum of colors that it brings to our lives makes my soul happy.

STOP!

Stop worrying so much about the little things. They will work themselves out.

Stop trying to make sense of things that are out of your control.

Stop stressing out over things that are on your to do list. They will still be there in a few minutes.

Stop what you're doing and just sit in silence smiling for 60 seconds. You may feel silly at first but soon you will feel the smile pe*****te within your heart and soul.

While smiling for those 60 seconds think about all of the little things in life that you are grateful for. What colors are those things? What do those colors make you feel?

When the 60 seconds is up, carry on with what you were doing before. If you begin to feel overwhelm again then stop and practice this smiling technique again! The world needs more smiling!

Change. Growth. Learning new things. Expanding on who we are.

These CAN all be scary things. They can seem like that big furry monster creeping out of the closet to scare you! Here's the good news though.... THEY DON'T HAVE TO BE!

You know, life is hard. "Adulting" just plain stinks. Kids don't always act in the grown-up way that we desire them to act, and some days are just filled with more evidence on how we are FAILING than how we are PROGRESSING.

As a husband and a father, I am constantly working on balancing my thoughts of how I can provide, preside, and protect my family in a way that is in keeping with God's directive and mission for me. It can be a challenge! Sometimes I feel like I am JUST NOT ENOUGH.

For some reason...I don't think I am. I mean, chances are that if you are a human with red blood coursing in your veins - you have felt exactly how I have described above in the last day, week, or month. (If not...PLEASE share your SECRETS!! HAHA!)

The truth is we are human beings that have been sent on a divine mission in life.
How can we possibly achieve our DIVINE PURPOSE with our human brains and mortal weakness?

We can't.

If we are to achieve our DIVINE PURPOSE and our DIVINE MISSION in life, it requires us to let go.

LET GO of anger, regret, emotional and spiritual clutter, grief, control, comparison, hiding, body shaming, self-shaming, grudges and the list can go on.

and it requires us to...

LET GOD.

LET GOD prevail in your life. Allow him to take the reins and replace anger with love, regret with satisfaction, emotional and spiritual clutter with clarity and space, grudges with empathy.

It’s time to practice a little self-love.

Yes. This is an invitation. An invitation to LET GO and LET GOD.

I'm curious... if you were given a brand new box of crayons and a sheet of crisp, bright white paper, what color from the box would you pick out first to work with?

There is a reason why we pick certain colors. One day you may pick blue and another day you may pick something totally different. Our emotions, the current events of the day, how we perceive things in our life at that moment all have an impact on color selection. We will be discussing colors and the emotional impact they have on our lives at my event that is happening THIS FRIDAY AND SATURDAY!

I also REALLY LOVE this wife of mine.

I wanted to take a moment and spotlight my beautiful wife Nancy Morris because she encompasses ALL of these things and so much more that I love in my life.

Nancy is my rock and is a constant support in my life. She lights me up and brings color into my dark days.

Nancy brings music into our home daily and empowers and uplifts our home with her musical talents.

Nancy keeps life fun and is the adventure seeker in our relationship. I love seeing her smile and laugh. Her smile brightens the room and I enjoy not just laughing with her but fall deeper in love with her each time I see her laugh with our children.

Nancy is the best cook. She makes sure our family is fed with healthy meals and is always exploring new recipes and ways to keep meals creative and delicious.

Nancy is the mother of my children. Not just a mother but the mother in my life who means the most to me. She loves her children unconditionally and is constantly encouraging them to grow, acknowledge the positive in each other and life, and creates a home where these children whom we both love so much can thrive and succeed with love.

Nancy loves God. She has a rock solid testimony in her Savior Jesus Christ and shares that with her family. I love how deep her faith runs and how much this woman believes in God's love for all of his children.

Nancy is one of a kind. Her own color in a world filled with so many different colors. I cannot imagine my life without her by my side. Thank you for supporting me in my business adventures, encouraging me to step outside of my box when I get nervous, and for loving me like I've never been loved before. I am so grateful to spend eternity by your side. ❤

Let's talk about favorite and least favorite colors among men and women in regards to retail! A team of researchers recently did a study regarding retail sales and the effect that colors have on sales. The colors of price tags, marketing logos, the walls in the store, etc all have an impact. Some of you may or may not know this but I love color! Shocker, right? 😃 I also love building and home design work. Today let's talk about both and discuss front doors and color!

There are infinite options for choosing front door colors, and the color you choose actually says a lot about your personality and style. There are also meanings behind front door colors that could drive your choice. For example, did you know that in the Chinese culture, a front door signifies the mouth of the home and if painted RED before the Chinese New Year, chi will gravitate toward the home? It’s also considered a lucky color and in other areas of the world people paint their front door red to show that their home is paid off. Pretty interesting stuff, right?
