Meet Aubrey Altenes! We are so excited to have Aubrey in the MPC Program!

“Hey hey!! My name is Aubrey, and I am a proud Wildcat, both in obtaining my Bachelor's in Anthropology from Weber and in staying here professionally as the Administrative Specialist for our Honors Program! I am a culture and communication nerd at heart and am always looking to continue the interdisciplinary research I began in my undergraduate studies, which led me here to the MPC program. I hope to engage more in how we as humans understand one another in all aspects of life and how I myself can become a better communicator in the various spaces I exist within. I spend my free time deep diving into high fantasy lore in books, film, and the TTRPG space with my darling friends, as well as pondering how the great wide world outside my window came to be XD. I am absolutely thrilled to continue spending time in higher education, and I cannot wait to find community with my fellow grad students!”

“Since earning my bachelor’s degree in communication with a digital media emphasis from Weber State University in 2020, I have developed my career in higher education by managing departmental communications and leading a talented design team at the University of Utah. I am pursuing the Master of Professional Communication program to deepen my expertise in communication theory, leadership dynamics, and data visualization. Ultimately, this program will empower me to transition from a creative practitioner into a strategic voice as an institutional leader.”
