🐜🔬 What’s on the Ant Menu? 🔬🐜

Did you know ants are especially attracted to sweet and sugary foods for quick energy, while proteins and fats can help support their growing colony? 🍯🍓🥩 Ants us e their powerful sense of smell to follow ch emical scent trails and lead their friends right to a good food source!

Our preschoolers had so much fun discovering which items were an ant favorite and which ones had them saying, “No thanks!” 🐜🔎🧪

We are SO excited to share Northstar Preschools’ newest community partnership with The Christmas Box International here in Ogden! 🎄💙🤝

The Christmas Box International believes that every child deserves a childhood. Their organization supports children, teens, and young adults who have experienced abuse, neglect, trafficking, or homelessness. Their Christmas Box Houses provide short-term emergency shelter for children in crisis, while their programs and Resource Rooms provide essentials, comfort, resources, and support to children and youth throughout Utah. ❤️

To kick off our new partnership, Northstar and the Ogden Christmas Box House participated in a donation swap! Miss Kate also recently had the opportunity to attend a Christmas Box community event in Ogden! 🤍 She was able to learn more about how The Christmas Box International was founded, their mission and impact, upcoming community events and opportunities to get involved, and the many ways they continue to advocate for and support children throughout Utah.

At Northstar, caring for children goes far beyond the walls of our classrooms. We believe in being an active part of the community our children are growing up in, supporting organizations that advocate for kids, and teaching our own little Northstars what it means to give back. 🌟

We are so excited to see where this partnership takes us and to find new ways for our Northstar families, staff, and kiddos to get involved along the way! 💙

🎉💕 Happy 1-Year Anniversary, Miss Amileny! 💕🎉

Today we’re celebrating ONE whole year of having Miss Amileny as part of our Northstar Preschools family! 🥳

From the very beginning, Amileny has been one of our amazing Infant & Toddler teachers, and caring for our littlest learners is definitely where she shines! 🍼🤍 She does such an incredible job making sure every baby feels loved, comforted, and cared for while making sure all of their individual needs are met throughout the day.

But with Miss Amileny, the day isn’t just about bottles, diapers, naps, and routines—she makes sure her babies have FUN too! 🎶💃 She loves singing and dancing with them, finding creative ways to keep them engaged, and making the cutest little crafts and keepsakes for their families. 🎨👣

Her creativity, nurturing personality, and genuine love for the babies in her care make her such a special part of our team, and we are so lucky to have her!

Outside of Northstar, Amileny loves spending time with her family, traveling, listening to music, and finding ways to be creative. ✈️🎵💕

Happy 1 year, Miss Amileny! Thank you for all the love, patience, creativity, and care you give our littlest Northstar kiddos every single day. We can’t wait to see what year TWO brings! 🥰🎉
