Weber Debate had a blast in Tacoma Washington a couple weeks ago! We had hard and fast debates against our friends at the University of Puget Sound and got the opportunity to apply our debate topic to real-life conservation efforts at the Tacoma Point Defiance Zoo.
One of our students said:
"Our trip to the zoo gave us an opportunity to interact with on-the-ground conservation efforts happening in reaction to climate change and biodiversity depletion. Throughout the year, we have been researching how pollution puts habitats at risk. Seeing those efforts helped align my research with my advocacy by giving me the opportunity to investigate how what I read is reflected in real life experiences and efforts to solve the climate crisis."
