March is National Athletic Training month. Many may not know
what a Certified Athletic Trainer is or does. A Certified Athletic Trainer plays various important roles in the care of athletes. This includes essential elements like injury evaluation and recognition, emergency care, rehabilitation, and prevention of injury or harm. One of the most vital things a Certified Athletic Trainer does for your athlete is provide a support system of car and protection on and off the field. Here at Ben Lomond High School your Certified Athletic Trainer is Jeff Speckman, LAT, ATC. He graduated from Adams State University in 1992 and has been the Head Athletic
Trainer for Ben Lomond High School since 1993. Jeff enjoys spending time with his wife, Yvonne, children, Kyle and Julia and daughter-in-law Rachel. He spends his free time working in the yard, working out and golfing. Thank you Jeff for all that you do for our athletes!
