Dear Odyssey Families,

Just a quick reminder that there will be no school from Thursday, October 15th through Monday, October 19th for Fall Break. Students will return to school on Tuesday, October 20th.

We are also sending home information today about our upcoming Halloween festivities so you can plan for all the fun over the break!

A huge congratulations to Mrs. C. Andrus’s kindergarten class for winning last week’s Attendance Award! They achieved a stellar 97% average for the week—making them the very first kindergarten class to take home the award so far this school year! 🎉👏

As their reward, they got to choose the theme for our upcoming Attendance Spirit Day, and they chose DINOSAURS DAY! 🦕🌿

Spirit Day Details:
When: This WEDNESDAY (Note: Spirit Day is on Wednesday this week due to Fall Break!)
What to Wear: Wear any clothes with dinosaurs on them, or dress in your best dinosaur colors like green, brown, or black!

Thank you to all our families for prioritizing attendance and helping our students show up ready to learn every day.

Just a quick reminder of our schedule for this week:

⏰ Wednesday, Oct. 14th: Early Out at 12:05 PM
🚫 Thursday, Oct. 15th, Friday, October 16th, & Monday, October 19th: NO SCHOOL (Fall Break)

We hope all of our Odyssey families have a fun, restful, and safe long weekend! School resumes on Tuesday, October 20th.

Hello Explorer Community!

We are coming off a fantastic week with a 90% schoolwide attendance average—thank you, families! With Fall Break starting this Thursday, let's keep that streak alive for our short week ahead.

This Week’s Schedule:

Monday, Oct. 12 & Tuesday, Oct. 13: Regular Full Days

Wednesday, Oct. 14: Attendance Spirit Day, Minimum Day (school dismissed at 12:05pm)

Thursday, Oct. 15 – Monday, Oct. 19: Fall Break (No School)

Staying in the routine right up to the break helps students hold onto their daily learning habits and makes returning after the long weekend much smoother. Let’s make every minute of learning count during this short week!

Thank you for helping your Explorer stay on track. We look forward to seeing everyone in class Monday through Wednesday!

🎉 Huge congratulations to Mrs. Duffin’s 2nd Grade Class for taking home last week’s Attendance Award! 🏆 They crushed it with an incredible 95% average attendance!

To celebrate their win, they got to choose this Friday’s Attendance Spirit Day, and the vote is in: BLACKOUT or WHITEOUT! 🖤🤍 On Friday, show your school spirit by wearing as much black or as much white as you can!

Shoutout to ALL the other classes that hit 90% or higher average attendance last week—that’s amazing, especially during a week with minimum days! Let’s keep that momentum going and see even more classes hit 90%+ this week! 💪

Dear Odyssey Elementary Families,

We loved seeing so many of you at our Parent-Teacher Conferences last week, and hope you are all having a restful weekend! We are so excited to welcome our Explorers back to campus tomorrow morning as we quickly approach the end of our first term.

Our students have worked so hard over the past week completing their first interim assessments. To support their ongoing growth, please note our early dismissal schedule for this week:

Thursday, October 8th: Minimum Day with early dismissal at 12:05 PM (giving our teachers time to analyze assessment data and plan for next term).

Friday, October 9th: Regular Minimum Day with early dismissal at 12:05 PM.

A huge thank you to all our families for prioritizing school attendance! We had fantastic attendance even with our minimum days for Parent-Teacher Conferences last week—let’s keep that amazing momentum going all through this week!

Before-School Care Reminder:
If your family is having a hard time finding early morning care, don't forget that our on-site Boys & Girls Club offers a before-school program from 6:30 AM – 7:45 AM. Please call our main office at 801-737-8401 and we will gladly help get you connected with the Boys & Girls Club team!
