Cedar Point Biological Station (CPBS) is a University of Nebraska-Lincoln field research facility and experiential classroom in western Nebraska. Featuring comfortable housing, library and classroom spaces, and a friendly inviting atmosphere. ical Station is fully open for research and educational activities from approximately May 1st to mid-August, and are fully open for individual events through about mid October every summer. Located southeast from Lake McConaughy on Lake Ogallala, CPBS is filled with a plethora of organisms in all shapes and sizes. Students will experience anything from microbiology with specimens they, themselves, retrieved out of a marshy swamp to bird watching and bird netting the 363 different species found here at CPBS. Come be the first to enjoy our new deck off Goodall Lodge being actively built in this picture and volunteer your time helping the station open for the summer. April 23-27 we are having our annual volunteer weekend! It's a come and go event. No matter however long you can be out with us or whatever level of volunteer work you can do, we'd love to see you! Even 1 day or 4 hours, that is the equalivant of donating about $130 to us according to the Independent Sector organization!

Guys. Guys. Guys. Y'all made it happen! 😁 We had 35 donations that totaled $5,380 and unlocked our $1000 bonus!! That's absolutely amazing! Thank you to everyone who donated OR shared our post OR liked it to help it in the algorithm. All the money you donated goes directly to the cost of housing and food for our students. You guys are making us possible for everyone, and that is a celebration level envolvement. 💖

Cedar Point Works funding drive continues!

These are exciting times at Cedar Point! At long last, our Goodall Lodge renovations - to include wheelchair accessibility and a north-side deck - are under way! Just as critical, our crowdfunding effort to support the Cedar Point Works program is off to a great start, with over 25k committed or donated so far! Join us to help grow this fund even more. Cedar Point Works is our core experiential learning opportunity for undergraduate students - an opportunity to learn new skills, be out in nature, and be a part of something bigger. Your contribution directly supports students who stay at the station to work and take classes, providing a base of support for the whole station. We aim to build a lasting endowment for this program, and every little bit helps.
