🏈 PRACTICE PLAYERS & TENGO PLAYER OF THE WEEK 🏈

Another great week of work from the Huskies, and a few guys stood out with the way they approached practice and their teammates!
Practice Players of the Week — Will Ehn & Will Weig
Both of these young guys are carrying themselves like they’ve been in high school for years. Will and Will continue to show up, work hard, and put in extra time after practice to keep getting better at their craft.
Their work ethic and willingness to stay late and improve does not go unnoticed. Keep stacking days!

TENGO Player of the Week — Landon Rechkemmer

Landon earned this week’s TENGO recognition through outstanding leadership.
When a teammate needed to make up some work after missing practice, Landon didn’t hesitate—he jumped in and ran right alongside him. Before long, 12 other guys joined in.
That’s what leadership looks like. You don’t always have to say something—you set the example, and others follow.
Proud of the way these guys are representing Husky Football!

🔥 BRINGING BACK A HUSKY TRADITION! 🔥

Some things are too good to stay in retirement!

This season, we are bringing our classic black jerseys out of retirement for our Husky Players of the Week!

Each week, we’ll recognize players who go above and beyond. That may be our Practice Player of the Week, Scout Team Player of the Week, Special Teams Player of the Week, or Defensive Player of the Week.

But we also found something special in the equipment room… an old Chad "Tengo" Paul jersey.

Chad was a great teammate, a great Husky, and someone who represented what it means to be a Leader of the Pack. We are bringing that jersey back for a special award: the Tengo Husky of the Week.

This award goes to a player who:
Leads by example
Does all the little things right
Makes his teammates better
Represents Husky Football the right way
Truly embodies what it means to be a Husky

Just so everyone is aware, we planned to move camp inside due to approaching weather. With the recently announced Tornado Warning we have moved EVERYONE into the designated shelter locations within the high school.
