🔦 Spotlight, please! We mentioned that service awards were given out on Opening Day, but this one deserves a post of its own.

Mrs. Carrie Moore received her service award for 45 years with the Odessa R7 School District! She spent her first 9 years as a SPED teacher and the last 36 years as a first-grade teacher.

She has taught many students in this community, as well as their parents, and has been a positive fixture at McQuerry Elementary for decades. She is the epitome of school spirit and has always expressed her pride in being a Bulldog. We are so lucky to have her!

Congratulations, Mrs. Moore, and thank you for 45 years of dedication to our students and community! 🐾❤️🖤

Yesterday marked Opening Day for Odessa R-VII staff!

We kicked off the morning with an energetic welcome from the OHS Cheer Team and OHS Drumline. They did a fantastic job creating an enthusiastic atmosphere!

The Odessa Faith Alliance provided an amazing assortment of fresh fruit and pastries for the staff breakfast. OPAA provided breakfast casseroles.

At the opening ceremony, OHS student Addison Shank gave a beautiful performance of “The Star-Spangled Banner.”

Dr. Oetinger delivered the opening address, service awards were presented, and Rob Waibel introduced our new staff members. Board of Education President Cole Shippy delivered an inspiring message and staff enjoyed motivational speaker Dr. Pyle.

What a great day to be a Bulldog! 🐾
