A lot has happened since the end of the previous school year and now fast forward to the new school year. Here is an update: Bacon, the mini boar, had his tusks filed down; Mr. Duck had a medical issue and is now on the mend; Mousey and Forcey, the bunnies, somehow got out and were injured and are now recovering separately; but the best news are the new additions to our chicken family as we welcome nine beautiful two year old hens.

Students happily planted new seedlings for the fall. Broccoli, cauliflower, green pepper, tomatoes, and collard greens. While veggies were being planted, other students cleaned up the pollinator beds and spread a layer of cypress mulch. Hard workers, all of them!

Yesterday the Ag Club worked hard and diligently to clear our two raised beds and to add new soil. Great job everyone!

We are a non-profit school agriculture program that is growing quickly. We do not receive school district funding and thus rely on the community for help in order to maintain our existing farm and also to help us grow.

This year we are adding two more raised beds; ramping up the aquaponics system; establishing a compost system and more chickens.

As always, we are most grateful for all contributions and donations.
