September is Attendance Awareness Month!

It may seem like attendance isn't as important in elementary school, but these are the years we're building the foundation for future learning. Missing days now can create gaps that follow students for years.

A few important facts:

📅 Missing just 2 days a month can equal chronic absenteeism.
📖 Students who are chronically absent in the early grades are less likely to read on grade level by 3rd grade.
🎓 By 6th grade, chronic absence can be an early warning sign for future school struggles and dropout risk.

Of course, kids get sick and absences happen! Our goal is simply to remember: Every day matters, and good school habits start NOW!

Parents, please remember to turn right at the stop sign during both morning arrival and afternoon dismissal.
Turning left causes traffic to back up into our school driveway, creating an unsafe situation for our students, staff, and families. Thank you for helping us keep our arrival and dismissal procedures safe and efficient for everyone!

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing PTA Secretary Brianna Galindo for putting together a thoughtful Teacher Wellness Bar for our staff! 🥰

She provided our teachers with Emergen-C, hand sanitizers, and tissues to help keep our teachers feeling their best during the school year! 🍎✨

We appreciate you, Brianna, and everything you do to support our teachers! 💕 Thank you for taking care of those who take care of our kids every day! 🐻
